HOW WILL YOU AND YOUR FAMILY BE CELEBRATING RAMADAN THIS YEAR?
Sadly will be celebrating it a bit differently this year due to covid-19. Instead of visiting our family and friends for Iftar, we are trying to make things creative by doing an iftar drop off, (there is where we drop off food to our loved ones so they can break their fast with). Instead of praying at the mosque we will be praying at home and for Eid celebrations it will just be the 5 of us – me, my husband and 3 children. I usually love hosting Eid at my home for our friends and family, last year I did a sweet table – it was beautiful! I really wanted to do a big picnic style theme this year for everyone but I’ll still do a smaller one for my family. I still want my children to fully enjoy this blessed and festive time of the year. Although we won’t be with our loved ones physically, we can always keep them close with a letter or a call, love is always near ❤️
WHAT’S YOUR NUMBER ONE STYLE TIP FOR DRESSING UP AT HOME?
Be yourself whether that’s wearing sweatpants all day or jeans and a tee or pyjamas! I always like to style according to my mood, although 90% of my closet is full out dressy lol! It’s hard to show up in the kitchen in a vintage inspired dress every morning but in times like these, I think why the heck not!
WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE NEEDLE & THREAD STYLE TO DRESS UP WITH YOUR DAUGHTER?
I honestly have so many favourites it’s hard to choose. Needle & Thread pieces are so unique and dreamy it brings me back to when I was a little girl. I loved dressing up and loved to pretend being in these magical places and eating amazing food! The matching mommy and me dresses makes you feel so confident and they are just so playful. My daughter and I just adore wearing them.
YOUR BEST BEAUTY TIP?
Sleep and healthy food, but with some cheat days of course, it’s all about balance. A little cake never harmed anyone! I make sure to exercise and drink lots of water to hydrate my skin and body!
HOW ARE YOU KEEPING BUSY DURING THESE CHALLENGING TIMES?
Blogging keeps me busy and interacting with my Instagram family. I love learning new recipes and spending that extra quality time with my husband and children. I always find time to communicate with family and friends through phone calls or facetime. Simply just engaging and looking at the brighter outcome of being at home, with hardship comes ease! Praying for all! Stay positive x
