PACKAGING

Our customer care boxes, tissue and paper are made out of FSC ® certified raw materials which means that the forests from which the raw materials are sourced are sustainably managed.  To learn more about the FSC ® click here 

Our polybags are recyclable and made from 30% recycled materials. Our bags can be recycled through the supermarket carrier bag collection points.

MATERIALS

WHAT IS RECYCLED POLYESTER?

Polyester is a manmade fibre, synthesised from petrochemical products by a process called polymerization.  Recycled polyester is produced using pre or post-consumer waste that can no longer be used for its intended purpose.  Using recycled polyester reduces our dependence on non-renewable fossil fuels (petroleum), reduces landfill and associated soil, air and water contamination; whilst requiring significantly less energy during the manufacturing process compared to virgin polyester.

WHAT ARE UPCYCLED SEQUINS? 

Sequins are most commonly made from plastic.  In order to reduce our reliance on virgin plastics we are working with a supplier who can make our sequins out of self-generated plastic waste in a closed loop process. Iridescent sequins also require a lamination layer which cannot yet be produced using the self-generated waste plastic, and so this is being created using a different kind of waste plastic diverted from landfill.
